PlayStation 3 coming at cha in 2006
I guess the Sony conference went well. Sony offically announced the Playstation 3. It will use Blu-Ray discs as it's main media format for it's games. They can hold up to six times more data than what the current generation's DVDs hold. It will also read CD-ROM, CD-RW, DVD, DVD-ROM, DVD-R, DVD R and will be backward compatible all the way back to the original Playstation. It will also have slots for Memory Stick Duo (of course), and SD slot, a compact memory slot, and a detachable 2.5 inch hard drive Xbox360-style. Sounds all good so far...how about being able to support up to seven Bluetooth controllers and up to six USB slots for peripherals (four in front two in back). Now to get all geeky on you:
Not to be outdone by the Xbox360. You will also be able to video chat, access the internet, views your digital pics, audio and video. Basically do anything you could ever want.
